Two more weeks!

It’s been awhile since I wrote a blog post, so I thought I’d check in with y’all and let you know what’s going on.

There will be a release blitz on several blogs on release day, and then I’ll be doing a blog tour the following week. There will be some fun Q&A’s with both me and the main characters from the book, a couple exclusive excerpts and I’ll let you in on some of the stuff that didn’t make the cut into the final novel.

What else is going on? Ugh, I’m having Christmas story drama. I officially told my writing partners that I was pulling out of the anthology. My story was seriously causing me so much stress I was worried I was going to fall into a depressive episode so I figured I better just walk away. But then yesterday it started to flow a little bit again…so I don’t know. If I can pull it together by Monday, then we’re still on. Otherwise, I have to un-announce my participation in the holiday short story anthology.

I really think I can finish my YA novella by the end of November, as long as I actually sit down and write every day which for me is hard because I have very little discipline. I’m super lazy. But if I can do that, then I’m thinking a February release. I messed around a little bit with trying to make my own cover this time, and I’m actually really happy with how it looks, the only problem is that the image I want to use isn’t a stock photo. So A: it’s not high res and B: it’s not actually legal for me to use. Hopefully I can figure out a way to make it work because the image is SO cute you guys. The people in the pic are Youtubers so I’m actually thinking about emailing them and asking them if I can use it and if they possibly have a higher res version. Only problem with that is that I fell into a rabbit hole of watching their videos and now I’m in love with them and sending them a message is very intimidating. Plus they have a lot of followers so I don’t even know if I’d get a response. So wish me luck!!!

And aside from that…I have SO many projects I want to work on in 2018. I have a f/f in the works, a Bolt of Blue prequel, a sequel to the above mentioned YA novella, a totally new m/m/m idea that I’m really excited about, AND an age gap m/f romance I’d like to get to. And then of course I fell down that dumb Youtube rabbit hole, so now I really want to write a story loosely based on/inspired by those adorable boys. Even if I manage to find that missing discipline and write every day, this is probably more than I can get done next year but I’m still going to try. 🙂

Alright, well that’s going on in Nicky Spencer land! I’m so excited for my book release. I’m thinking about getting a tattoo to celebrate. I even have an idea of what it will be now. If I end up doing it, I’ll post pics!
